On the morning of August 19, American steel producer Nucor slightly increased the spot price of hot-rolled coil (HRC). The company raised the spot price of consumer HRC by $5 per ton to $695 per ton.
Additionally, Nucor raised the spot price of HRC at its California Steel Industries (CSI) plant in Southern California by $5 per ton to $760 per ton.
The delivery lead time is 3-5 weeks.
The assessment of HRC in the Midwest and Southern U.S. remained unchanged at $675 per ton on August 13. This stability comes amid unchanged CSP prices from the previous week and a flat domestic scrap settlement for August.
